An unforeseen and eccentric outage on world’s most popular social networking site “Facebook” has led the users unable to log in the site for approx 30 minutes on June 19/2014. Billions of users around the world were not able to access Facebook and on error screen was displayed which read:
“Sorry, something went wrong.
We are working on getting this fixed as soon as we can!”
The downtime of the site has led the social media marketing industry face a lot of trouble. The crash has affected the internet marketing activities which are the second instance where FB has experienced a server downtime. The sudden outage has been even seen on its mobile application.
The cause of the outage is not clear yet, but the service was restored within 30 minutes. This breakdown clearly shows how important the social media connectivity has proven for businesses and their customers.
